Overview

This article provides an overview of the new feature implemented in the Softrip, which enables users to view the cost detail and costing log in the edit item screen and on the cart. This feature is crucial for FIT companies to understand the detailed breakdown of the costing and pricing of each individual service.

Implementation

Access to the Cost Detail and Costing Log features is managed through a dedicated security checkpoint within the Softrip system. This ensures that only authorized users can view sensitive cost and pricing information for services.

How Access Works

Checkpoint ID: R199 (Allow to view Costing Log)
Purpose: This checkpoint controls whether a user can see the "View Cost Detail" button and menu options in both the Edit Item screen and the Reservation Cart Overview.
- When enabled, users can access a modal popup with two tabs: Cost Detail and Costing Log, providing a detailed breakdown of service costs and the underlying calculation log.

Feature Details

Edit Item Screen

New Button: A "View Cost Detail" button has been added to the Edit Item screen.
- Placement: In the “Costs / Prices” header.
- Color: "btn-default" (same as the Cancel button).

Functionality:
- Clicking the button opens a modal popup displaying two tabs: Cost Detail and Costing Log.
Cost Detail Tab:
- Displays similar to Net with column headers: Type, Qty, Cost, Price, Display Price, Cost Tax, Price Tax, Cost GST, Price GST.
- Each row corresponds to a Pax Type, with values filled in per XML values matching the column headers.
- Pax Type translation: A → Adult, C# → Child #, others display the value in the Pax Type.

Costing Log Tab:
- Displays the formatted version of the costing log saved against the service.
- Presented in a scrollable textarea, suggested to use rows="15".

Reservation Cart Overview

New Menu Option: A "View Cost Detail" option is added within the Edit/Remove menu for each service.
- Displays only if the new checkpoint is valid for the user.
- Located beneath the Edit/Remove options.

Functionality:
- Clicking the menu option displays the same popup modal as described in the edit item screen.
