Overview

The Product Audits feature is a powerful quality control tool within the Product Management system that helps ensure your product data is accurate, complete, and follows business rules. This comprehensive audit system scans your product configurations and identifies potential issues that might affect pricing, availability, or customer experience.

Accessing Product Audits

  1. Navigate to the Product section in the main menu

  2. Select Product Audits from the management options

  3. The system will display the audit interface with available audit types

Key Features

1. Audit Types

The system offers multiple audit types, each focusing on different aspects of your product data:

  • Air Shopping Audits (AIRFSHOP)

    • Validates air shopping configurations

    • Checks for proper date ranges and availability

    • Verifies pricing structures

  • Product Information Audits

    • Validates product descriptions and details

    • Checks for missing or incomplete information

    • Verifies categorization and classification

  • Pricing Audits

    • Validates price consistency

    • Identifies pricing anomalies

    • Checks for missing or invalid pricing components

2. Audit Interface

The audit interface is divided into two main sections:

Audit Titles Grid

  • Lists all available audit types

  • Displays a description of what each audit checks

  • Allows selection of multiple audits to run simultaneously

Audit Results Grid

  • Displays detailed results of the audit

  • Shows the type of issue (Error, Warning, Information)

  • Identifies the specific field or component with the issue

  • Provides a detailed description of each finding

How to Run an Audit

  1. Select Audit Types

    • Check the boxes next to the audit types you want to run

      • You can select multiple audits to run at once

    • The system will automatically show/hide date selection fields based on your selections

  2. Set Date Parameters (if applicable)

    • For time-sensitive audits like AIRFSHOP, select the relevant departure dates

    • Use the date picker or multi-select to choose specific dates

  3. Run the Audit

    • Click the Run Audit button

    • The system will process your request and display results in the Audit Results grid

  4. Review Results

    • Results are categorized by severity:

      • Errors: Critical issues that need immediate attention

      • Warnings: Potential issues that should be reviewed

      • Information: Informational messages about your product configuration

Understanding Audit Results

Result Types

  1. Error (High Severity)

    • Description: Critical issues that prevent proper functioning

    • Examples:

      • Missing required fields

      • Invalid date ranges

      • Pricing configuration errors

      • Inventory discrepancies

    • Action Required: Immediate attention needed

  2. Warning (Medium Severity)

    • Description: Potential issues that may cause problems

    • Examples:

      • Outdated information

      • Incomplete configurations

      • Non-optimal settings

    • Action Recommended: Review and address as needed

  3. Information (Low Severity)

    • Description: Informational messages

    • Examples:

      • Configuration notes

      • Best practice suggestions

      • Reference information

    • Action Optional: Consider for optimization

Troubleshooting

Audit Not Running

  • Ensure you have the necessary permissions

  • Verify that you've selected at least one audit type

  • Check your internet connection if running cloud-based validations

Incomplete Results

  • Some audits may require specific data to be present

  • Ensure all product information is saved before running audits

  • Check if there are any system notifications about partial results
