Supplier Promotion Types

Within Softrip’s Supplier Promotion menu are there are 5 Types of Supplier Promotion you are able to set against specific Services.

  • Percentage Off

  • Money Off

  • Flat

  • Promotional Nightly Rates

  • Value Added

To build a Supplier Promotion select the + button at the top below “Promotions”. This will open the below greyed fields to allow you to fill in the promotion information

 

Percentage Off

A Percentage Off Promotion will allow you to take certain percentage off of a Service. Set the “Promo Type” as POFF and enter in the promotion percentage under “Promo Amount” . You will not need to enter in the % character with the amount, only a number value. Ex. 10% will be removed from the price of that Service:

Money Off

A Money Off Promotion will allow you to take an amount off the Cost of a Service. Set the “Promo Type” to $OFF and set the promotion amount under “Promo Amount” Ex. $100 will be removed from the Cost of that Service:

 

Flat

A Flat Promotion will take a flat amount off the Price of the Service. With this promotion the system will go through the normal pricing process of taking the Cost of the Service and using the Mark Up to calculate the Service Price. Once the Price has been calculated the Flat Promotion will remove that amount from the Price. Set the Promo Type to FLAT and enter in the amount to be removed under “Promo Amount”. Ex. $200 will removed from the Service Price:

 

 

Promotional Nightly Rates

Promotional Nightly Rates will allow you to set reduced promotional rates within a given date range. When building a Promotional Nightly Rates promotion set the Promo Type to “RATES” and fill out the required fields. Once the Promotion record is saved select edit within the grid where this new entry will appear to reopen the record and select “Nightly Rates”

 

The system will open the Promo Nightly Rates menu and allow you to build the range of promo rates within the date range this promotion is valid

 

Only when you are first creating the Promotion Nightly Rates record will the system allow you to select the range of valid promotional dates. Once this record is created each date will need to be manually changed, if needed, when you open that Promo Rate record and select edit

Value Added

A Value Added promotion is a promotion that has no monetary value associated to it. An example of this would be a Hotel Supplier that offers access to exclusive ammediaites, such as complimentary dinner at one of their restaurants or free massages at their Spa.
