2023.20 Release Notes

Automatic Pop-up Modal for Confirm Block Action

Who it affects:

  • Anyone using the Softrip NEXT Confirmation Screen

  • Operations Users

Why we care:

  • Additional enhancements from previous development

  • Refine the auto population of a memo to more accurately match successful bookings and/or services

Exciting news! We've introduced enhanced functionality to the Confirm Block memo pop-up modal, specifically for reservations services. Here are the key details:

  1. Cancellation Scenario:

    • If the user opts to press Cancel in the Confirm From Block prompt, no memos will be attempted or created.

  2. Confirmation Process:

    • When the user proceeds with the Confirm From Block process and successfully updates bookings, memos will be automatically generated for each successfully updated booking.

    • For example, if you attempt to confirm 5 bookings to the block, and only 4 are successful, the memo pop-up will only show for those 4 successful bookings.

  3. Unsuccessful Update:

    • If, for instance, none of the bookings are updated successfully, no attempt to create memos will be made.

It's important to note that the same process applies when using Confirm From Different Block. This refined functionality aims to streamline the memo creation process, ensuring a more precise and user-friendly experience in managing block confirmations.

Reorder Services and Plans

Who it affects:

  • Custom Groups

  • NEXT platform

Why we care:

  • New screen/menu option

A pivotal feature has been removed in the NEXT version, and it is crucial for users to regain access for their daily operational tasks. To facilitate this, Softrip is implementing the following changes to the Groups system:

  1. New Navigation Option:

    • A fresh navigation option will be introduced within the Groups area labeled as "Re-Order Plans and Services."

    • Positioned strategically below "Service Costing" and above "Pricing Profiles."

  2. Screen Review:

    • This navigation will open a new screen dedicated to user review.

    • The screen will replicate the Plans & Services screen found within a regular Product.

  3. Functionality Focus:

    • The screen will exclusively focus on re-ordering and grouping functionalities.

    • No additional features such as Add, Delete, or right-click menu options will be available—essentially, no toolbar options.

  4. Limited Editing:

    • There will be no mass update/edit options to maintain a streamlined user experience.

  5. Re-Ordering Interface:

    • Arrows will be displayed at the top of the grid, allowing users to easily re-order plans and services.

  6. Save Functionality:

    • After re-ordering, the Save button will become enabled and visible, empowering users to promptly save changes to the new order.

These modifications aim to empower users with the necessary tools to efficiently manage and organize plans and services within the Groups system in their day-to-day operations.
