Free Hotel Nights

Within the Supplier Promotions menu Softrip offers the ability to offer free hotel nights as a promotion. This is typically used when a Hotel Supplier wants to offer a promotion where if a passenger stays a total number of nights they will receive a night or nights free of charge. This promotion will remove the Price and Cost from the Service within the Reservation.

Set Up

Promo Type

The Promo Type for this Promotion can be set as 2 options depending on the details of the Promotions.

• RATES

  • This will allow the user to set specific promotional Hotel Night Rates on top of allowing Free Hotel Nights

• VADD

  • This will only apply the Free Hotel Night with no other Promotional stipulations

Free Nights

The Free Nights field uses a formula to calculate when a night is free and which night of that stay is free. The formula is “Total Number of Nights” followed by a dash and then “The Night that is Free”

In the example below the formula is written as “4-1”. This tells the system that if this Hotel has a Duration of 4 Nights then the 1st Night is free:

Variations

The Free Nights field will allow variations of this formula.

If this Promotion offers multiple free nights the number of nights that are free can be separated by a forward slash.

• In the example below the “10-5/10” will tell the system that if there are 10 Nights then Nights 5 and 10 will be free

If this Promotion offers combinations of Free Nights then they can be separated by a comma

• In the example below there are now 2 Free Night offers on this promotion

  • If 3 Nights are booked then Night 2 is Free

  • If 6 Nights are booked then Night 4 is Free

If a Promotion offers both a combination and multiple free nights this can also be separated by a comma

In the example below there are now 2 Free Night offers on this Promotion

• If 3 Nights are booked then Night 2 is Free

• If 10 nights are booked then Nights 5 and 10 are both Free
