Transportation Overview

The transportation screen provides users with the ability to setup inter-destination transportation when executing a shop through the Vacation Builder. This includes identifying if passengers will be traveling from destination to destination via rail, car, transfer, or air.

Screen Details

When adding information to this screen, users will have the opportunity to identify point to point destinations while also designating the type of inter destination transportation is supported.

Example

Company X supports passengers building their own itinerary through Vacation Builder in cities and destinations such as New York City and Buffalo. In order to allow users to shop this product, they must first create list products for their hotels, transfers (if applicable), rail (if applicable), and car (if applicable) in the product application. See product lists for more information.

Once the lists are created in Product, users will have the opportunity to access Product Locations, enter city pairs JFK to BUF, and select the inter transportation that they will be supporting.

Workflow Overview

The below outlines the general proces to follow in order to support the ability to select multi- destination transfers.

1 - Setup the appropriate product lists in the product application

2 - Add the product lists to the FIT cities option in product

3 - Add the city pairs into the "transportation" screen

4 - Shop the multi-stop trip under Vacation builder
