• Download the installer from here (right-click, save as).  Save the file to the Desktop.

  1. https://wwwdownload.softrip.com/download/stn/STAppsStandaloneInstaller.exe

• Update User record's "Codes" field to include:

  language xml
  <ExeApps>Y</ExeApps>

  

  • This will tell the system to open the stand-alone app when the user clicks the header menu of Softrip NEXT (ex: Accounting)

• Install the STApps Standalone on their workstation

  1. Right-click on the downloaded executable icon and select Run as administrator.
     

     

  2. If you get this popup, press Yes.
     

     

  3. Enter the following values (if needed, request assistance in acquiring these values)

     • Server Address = [Enter Production middle-tier server name or IP here]

     • Server Port = [Enter Production middle-tier server port here]

     • Res URL = [Enter the Softrip domain here]/res

     • Web URL = [Enter the Softrip domain here]/stw

     • Features = [Enter the full comma-delimited list of all features from STAcct.htm, STMark.htm, STOps.htm and STProduct.htm].  Softrip will provide you with a list.

     • Check Download over TLS1.2
       

       

  4. Press Install.  You should see this after it finishes.  If you get an error, try again and make sure to use the Run as Administrator option (step #1) and that you entered the Server Address and Server Port correctly (Step #3).

  5. After closing the Success message popup, you should then have the SoftripNet Apps icon on your desktop.
