Territories Overview
The Marketing subsystem allows users to set-up sales territories under the territories screen. This screen provides users with the opportunity to enter a territory ID, and description and associate the territory ID to a postal code.
The territories screen is designed to allow users to set-up sales territories and associate these territories to specific contacts or users within the application. Typically these sales territories are sales representatives that are the point of contact for specific contacts within that zipcode/territory.
Users can access the territories screen under the marketing subsystem.
Setting-up Territories
Users can use the below fields to set-up the territories. Once the territories are set-up, users can assign the territories to contacts, which will display under the contacts profile.
Note: Manually assigning the territory ID to a contact is not a necessary step for users to take. When creating a new user in the Softrip application, the territory will assign to the contact based on the postal code entered into the territory screen and into the contact's address.
