Softrip utilizes uses a single authentication account to handle manage email communications through your mail server. To ensure proper seamless functionality, the following requirements and configurations must be met:configuration must be implemented:
Each internal user email account must be configured to allow the Softrip authentication account to "send as" that user.
Example:
If your internal user email account is user@company.com
and the Softrip authentication account is info@company.com
, you must grant info@company.com
the necessary permissions to send emails on behalf of user@company.com
.

Mail Server Configuration Requirements
Authentication Account Permissions
The authentication account must have permission to "send as" any internal email account to any email account, including those on external domains. ex: Info@company.com
Supported Protocols and Ports
Softrip supports any TCP port and mail server address.
SSL/TLS over SMTP is fully supported for secure email communication.
Email Sending Scope
This configuration will not allow Softrip to send as any user to any recipient.
Instead, it will allow the Softrip authentication account to send emails on behalf of internal users to any recipient.
