Contact Preferences Overview

Contact Preferences are special requests and preferences that can be associated to the contacts that exist in the Softrip application.  These requests, whether they are selected during the booking process in reservations or they are manually added to the contact themselves, are forever stored under the contact's profile. 

Softrip provides users with the opportunity to choose the type of special requests/preferences they want to offer, determine whether or not they want to display these requests in reservations, and customize the information displayed with the request.  

In order to customize this information, users can access the contact preferences screen in Marketing.

How to create Contact Preferences

Marketing → Contacts → Contact Preferences

Select the Defaults Tab → + to create a new record

Select from the drop-down menu options.

Display type:

Text Box: Selecting the Text box option, gives user the ability to enter in free text of information in the Passenger form in Reservations, or Softrip CRM

Check Box: Gives the user option to select one or more options.

Dropdown: Gives the user option to select one option to select from as a drop down menu option.

CRM:

Type:

Air Requests: Air Requests can be used for seating requests. If connected to a GDS, the information can be sent to the air record of the carrier. If user enters in information during the booking process or post booking process, the information will display various reports and manifests in the system.

Meal Preferences: Air Requests can be used for seating requests. If connected to a GDS, the information can be sent to the air record of the carrier. If user enters in information during the booking process or post booking process, the information will display various reports and manifests in the system.

Hotel Requests: This option allows users to select from hotel preferences created during the trip. If user enters in information during the booking process or post booking process, the information will display in Rooming lists, and manifests in the system.

Note:  There are two areas of Softrip that users can see the contact preferences.  The first is through Reservations and the second is through the CRM.  It is important to note that not all preferences will display in reservations, however, when users setup these prefences in the contact preferences screen, the applicable checkboxes will display based on the contact preference type selected or created.
