CRM Integration Best Practices
Some Tour Operators use a 3rd party CRM to store all customer and potential customer related data. As Softrip manages key customer data surrounding reservations, creating connections between the systems can become necessary. While Softrip does not currently support a full integration to any CRM, some companies have created their own synchronization between CRM & Softrip.
Common Data Points for Synchronization
Customers - Softrip’s Customers represent account-based entities: Travel Agencies, Schools, Organizations. These map to accounts or companies pending on the CRM system.
Contacts - Softrip’s Contacts represents an individual’s account in Softrip. These map similar to contacts in most CRM systems and can include:
Travel Agents - agents, owners, managers
Direct Customers/Group Leader
Passengers
All of these persona types can be the same person in Softrip.
