Overview

The Softrip Direct Unique Link to Pay feature empowers our customers by enabling them to effortlessly send payment links to their contacts or passengers in real-time. It serves as an alternative method for collecting payments, bypassing the traditional process of pushing reservations through a queue and having your customers to login.

Integration with the Softrip Payments Platform grants seamless access to the Softrip Direct Unique Link to Pay feature. Upon integration, customers gain immediate access to this capability, streamlining their payment collection workflow.

How It Works

Initiating a Payment Link: Internal users can send your customers payment links directly from the Reservations Payment Menus called “Send Payment Link”.

Customer User Experience: Once the user receives the email. they can click on the link unique link.

User will be taken to a page to verify their Reservation Number they need to make a payment on.

Clicking on Continue will take the user to the Payments Page where the customer can apply the appropriate amount of payment.

How to Setup

The following steps will help guide you on setting up your unique link process.

  • Setup your Queue

  • Setup your Booking Rule

Setup your Queue

Create a new queue with the embedded payment link to communicate with your customers.

In order for your guests to click on the link, you must embed the URL as part of the communication in the body of the email. The unique URL must be: Https://[CustomerSoftripDomain]/account/directpayment/?passengerGUID=[PassengerUniqueID]

For Example: Softrip Demo instance URL is: Https://demo.softrip.com/account/directpayment/?passengerGUID=[PassengerUniqueID]

Tip: Softrip Suggests setting the correspondence type to the “Lead Passenger” on the queue when you set it up.

 

Setting up the Booking Rule

Next step is to setup the Booking Rule in the Product → Booking Rules.

RuleArea = DIRECTPAYMENTLINK

Rule Text = Queue Name

Once your setup is complete, please process a few test reservations to make sure all is working as expected.
