Copying Existing Product Into A Group
Overview
When creating a Group Softrip allows the user to copy an existing Package Product’s components into that new Group.
Copying an Existing Product
Within the Product Management menu for the Group the user will select the Magnifying Glass where they would typically search for Services. Selecting the “Prod.” tab will allow them to search for an existing package.
In the Product field the user can search for the Product Code of Product Name. Once the Product is selected the user can select the Departure Date they want to copy from, as some Services may vary from Departure to Departure
Selecting the “Search” button at the bottom of the filters will have the system return that Product’s list of Services
Users can select the Main Checkbox to have the system select all services or go through and select only the ones they want to copy over. Once selected they will select the “Copy” button at the bottom of the page
Copy to Group As Custom - This will create Custom Services specifically for this Group
Copy to Group As Tour Series - This will copy the services over as is
Once either of those options is selected the system will return a message alerting you there may be services already in this Product.
If the user does this immediately after they build the Group the only service the warning message will be referring to is the PKG Service that is automatically created upon creating of the Custom Group. The PKG service from the Product the user is copying will not be brought over in this process.
When the user selects “Yes” the system will return another pop up asking if they want copy over any of the other data and is built within that Product. Selecting any of this information to copy over is at the user's discretion depending on the details of the Custom Group they are building.
Selecting “Copy” will add the Services, and any of the other information selected to be copied, into the Group.
