Group Landing Page/Preview and Book

Group Landing Page/Preview and Book Overview

Once a group is ready to be put on sale to the public, the Softrip application provides users with the option to provide a URL that allows users to self service and create child bookings.  Internal users can view this landing page by selecting the preview and book from the Group Summary page.

Note:  External users (passengers or travel agents) can preview and book the group only if users have transitioned the group to operations (see below) and have set the status of the group as active.  If the group is set to "internal," only internal users can create child bookings.

Group Landing Page

The group landing page can be accessed internally from the Group Summary Page.  Users can provide this link to their customers, contacts, or passengers to allow users to self service and creates their own child bookings or reservations.

Public link (accessible by selecting "Preview and Book" from the group summary page (shown above))

If applicable, users also have the opportunity to display a daily itinerary to the group.  The Daily Itinerary that displays on the group landing page is the Daily Itinerary that is entered into the Daily Itinerary Screen.

The Departure date is defaulted to the departure date assigned to the group.  Users will not be able to book outside of the dates designated to the group unless there are pre and post nights added to the group.  Users can then proceed to go through the shop process.

Required vs Optional

When shopping, services will appear in one of two ways.  This is dependent on how the group/services are added and the "item role" assigned to the service.

Required

Required services will display as included servicesas they are shopped.

Optional

Optional Services will display as additional items that passengers can select as add-ons outside of the required services in the group itself.  These items should be marked with an "item role" as "O".

Note: The price of these optional services can be updated in the "Optional Summary" pricing section.  Only services that have an "O" item role associated to it will display in the "optional summary" pricing.
