Enhanced Group Management Navigation

  • Customers that access Custom Groups on the NEXT platform.

Why we care:

  • Easier navigation, saving you time.

Summary

We are pleased to introduce a new feature on the NEXT platform that simplifies group management. Users can now directly access the group back-office/management screens without going through the Group Summary first.

How It Works

  • For Product Type Other Than “C”:

    • Only the "Manage Product" option is available (current functionality).

  • For Product Type “C” with Group Management Feature On:

    • "Group Summary" and "Manage Group" options are available.

    • "Group Summary" takes you to the Group Summary screen.

    • "Manage Group" takes you directly to the group/costing management screen.

  • For Product Type “C” with Group Management Feature Off:

    • Only the "Manage Product" option is available, taking you directly to the product management screen.

Simplified Groups Creation Process

Why we care:

  • Provides internal users with a quick way to create a custom group.

  • Less steps.

  • Allows internal users to bypass entering potentially unnecessary information

Summary

We have updated the Add Group process on the NEXT platform to streamline group creation. Customers can now decide whether to use Opportunities or create a group directly without relying on specific settings.

Why This Update Was Done

The update was implemented to provide greater flexibility and simplicity. By removing the dependency on the defs.Reservations.UseLegacyGroups setting, users can choose their preferred method for group creation more easily.

How It Works

  • Manage Contacts Screen:

    • The “+ Group” button in the Reservation History section will always be visible, regardless of any settings.

  • Manage Customers Screen:

    • The “+ Group” button in the Reservation History section will always be visible, regardless of any settings.

Benefits
