The Security subsystem provides users with the opportunity to manage and control two major areas in the Softrip application.Â
Internal Users and user profilesÂ
System SettingsÂ
Users will be have the opportunity to control application access levels, user functionality, and application defaults all within the Security subsystem.Â
Note: Menu options vary between Softrip Online and Softrip Enterprise applications. Â
Â
System Settings
The system settings screen provides users with the opportunity to add defaults that will affect different areas throughout the application. This screen also provides users with the opportunity to create, manage, and update booking rules.Â
Â
Users
The users screen provides the ability to enter internal user details. This includes profiles for all of the internal users within an organization that will be utilizing the Softrip application on a daily basis. Â
Each internal user will be assigned a user profile. Access levels within the application can be assigned to each user profile as well as the control the overall functionality and usability of the application. Â
Â
Â
External Users
The External Users screen provides users with the ability to add external user profiles for applications such as "Vendor Direct." This screen is designed to allow users outside of an organization to access certain screens and areas within Softrip. Â
Note: This screen is not designed for external users such as travel agents, agencies, or passengers. Users will need to use the contacts and customers screens to create profiles for the above listed customers. Â
Â
Note: The Vendor Direct Portal is a feature that requires additional development, and fees. Please contact Softrip for more information. Â
Â
User API Keys
The User API Keys screen is designed for external users to enter credentials for other external customers who will be pulling information from the Softrip site. An example of this is external users needing to pull information from Softrip to their website. Â
Â
Profiles
The Profiles screen provides users with the opportunity to view all profiles that exist within a Softrip application. The Security Profiles have security checkpoints associated to them.Â
Profiles can either be assigned to internal or external users under either Security Users, Marketing Manage Contacts, or Marketing Manage Customers.Â
Â
Profile Checkpoints
Profile checkpoints drive overall system functionality and accessibility for both internal or external users.
Â
Â
Locked Accounts
Displays the list of locked accounts within the organizations application.
User PreferencesÂ
Many of the screens within the Softrip application allow users to update their screen preferences such as the order in which columns are displayed or the default shortcuts on each of their dashboards. The user preference screen keeps a record of all of the preferences that are stored against each internal user.Â
