Pricing Display Options Overview 

For Softrip Online users, there are options to control the way pricing is displayed on reservations where a PKG item does not exist (prices are not rolled up into a PKG item.)  For enterprise users, enter the rule text INDIVPRICEDISPLAY on the booking rules screen.  This text would be entered into the "Rule Area."

This rule is designed to support users with the ability to show/hide pricing per item if the total price is not rolled into a "package price."  The following areas will be affected by this change:

  • Reservations

  • Invoices

  • Quote Letters

Updating the Rule

The information below will outline how to update the rule, and how this rule will affect the pricing display.  

Softrip Online

  • Access the Pricing Display option under "System Rules" 

  • Users will be presented with the option to either display or hide individual pricing

    • "Do you want individual pricing displayed if your pricing is not rolled into a package price?"

  • If users select "yes," to show individual pricing, then the price of all items will be displayed. 

  • If users select "no," then all prices will show as "included" and only the total amount will be displayed. 

Note:  If "no" is selected, users can choose from a list of services from the drop down.  Choosing services from this list will then display the pricing of those services.

Softrip Enterprise 

  • Access the booking rules screen in the Product subsystem

  • Add a new rule under Rule Area: INDIVPRICEDISPLAY

Note:  If the Rule Area doesn't exist, then add the new rule area to the Codes List in the Security System Settings Screen.  

  • Enter "ALL" in the rule text to display individual prices

 

  • Enter "NONE" in the rule text to hide individual prices

  • Enter the list of comma delimited services if the price of certain services should be displayed.

  • This will show all other services as included except for the ones that are listed.

Example

Listing INS,AIR will show all other services such as HTL, TRF, and SST services as "included" but the price for the insurance and the air will be displayed
