Associating Contacts to Customers Overview

When adding Customers into the Softrip CRM, users will have the opportunity to associate multiple contacts at one time to the customer.  A prime example of this is associating travel agents to travel agencies.  

 

 

Steps

Before getting to the step of associating your contacts to your customers, there are two different import tools available.  Both tools are available in the Marketing Subsystem: Import Customers and Import Contacts.

Note: Users also have the option of manually creating customers and contacts into the Softrip application without using the import option.  

Once the Customer is created, users can access the customer's profile and select the plus "+" sign next to Contacts to begin associating the contacts to the customer's profile.  

 

 

Selecting the plus sign will direct users to the contact search screen.  From there, users have two options.

  1. Conduct a search first and select from the existing contact list.

  2. Conduct a search first and then create a new contact if the contact does not already exist.

Removing a Customer from a Contact

Should a Customer need to be removed from a Contact for any reason this can be done on the Contact’s Profile.

Select the Edit Contact button

Scroll to the middle of the page open the “Customers/IATA Information” menu

Users can remove the Customer ID from the “Custom ID” field and then select “Save” at the bottom of the page. This will remove the Customer from this Contact
