Personalizing Documents Overview
Users have the ability to customize some of the text that appears on their invoices, quote letters, and documents. This text is stored in the Softrip application under "Rules." Â
For Softrip Online, users have the ability to customize this text even further by using placeholders and are available in the system settings screen under each applicable rule.Â

Placeholder Options
The following options are available to add to some of the rule text:
Booked By Name
This is the name of the person who booked the reservation. If the reservation is created by internal staff, then this will be the internal user name. Â
Contact Name
The full first and last name of the lead contact on the reservation. If booked by a travel agent, for example, this will be the travel agents full name as it is entered into the Softrip CRM.
Contact First Name
The first name of the contact on the reservation. If booked by a travel agent, this will be the travel agents first name as it is entered into the Softrip CRM.
Contact Last Name
The last name of the contact on the reservation. If booked by a travel agent, this will be the travel agents last name as it is entered into the Softrip CRM. Â
Customer Name
The name of the Customer. If booked under an organization or travel agency, this will be the name of the organization or agency as it is entered into the Softrip CRM. Â
Product Name
The name of the Product. Typically, this placeholder text is most beneficial for reservations that are booked under a group or a tour. Â
User NameÂ
The name user name of the individual who is handling the reservation. This is an internal user name. Â

Adding Placeholders
Placeholders can be added to the rules once a user selects "edit."

Selecting "edit" will enable users to expland the placeholder field.Â

Users can select "insert placeholder" when they want to enter a placeholder into the rule. Â
