Sightseeing Tour Group Pricing

While the Sightseeing Tour service is often a “ Price Per Person” Service the system can offer the option to set this Service as a Group Price based on the number of people booking the Service. This is useful when the Supplier offers group rates or an additional price per person after a certain number of passengers have booked this Service.

Service Set Up

Within the Desig menu instead of using the A Mask to designate a per person mask use the M value followed by a range of passengers applicable for that Service.

In the image below there are 3 Desig entries:

  • M1-1 will allow one price for just 1 person booking the service

  • M2-2 will allow one price for 2 people booking this service

  • M3-8 will allow one price for any range between 3 and 8 passengers

After setting the Mask values check the “Price Per Item” checkbox. This will tell the system that this Service will only have one Price based on the Quantity of the Service being booked, not the Passengers.

Rate Set Up

Once the Service build is complete the Rates will need to be added. Rather than typically using a per person price each Desig will have one price that covers the number of passengers within the Mask set up.

In the below example:

  • M1-1 will have a single cost of $100 for 1 passenger

  • M2-2 will have a single cost of $150 for 2 passengers

  • M3-8 will have a single cost of $250 for any range between 3-8 passengers
